Looking for the perfect country wedding that will be elegant, romantic, classic, private, secluded with an estate and landscaped gardens that provide the perfect backdrop for your memorable wedding. Well, stop searching for that dream wedding location, the answer is Gabbinbar Homestead.
Gabbinbar Homestead is located on the mountain range in the garden city of Toowoomba, South East Queensland where the cooler climate is perfect for the famous gardens grown in this historical city. Only two hours from Brisbane and now home to a major airport, your guests can easily attend your wedding at Gabbinar Homestead with Toowoomba offering all manner of accommodation, restaurants, rooftop
bars and entertainment.
Built-in 1863, Gabbinbar Homestead was originally the home of Queensland's Premier and Governors until lovingly restored and now used exclusively for weddings.
The magnificent gardens are over 150 years old with majestic trees, manicured lawns, even a swing and fountain and together with the homestead, stables and old schoolhouse, your choice for wedding photos is abundant. While your photographer snaps away, your guests can enjoy a garden party on the lawns followed by the reception in the glass-roofed conservatory (my favourite room).
I recently had the privilege of conducting a wedding at Gabbinbar Homestead and was blown away by the professionalism and dedication of all their staff to making my couple's wedding a dream fulfilled.
Gabbinbar Homestead is definitely one of my favourite wedding venues and I can't wait until later this year when I will be honoured to officiate another unique and memorable wedding at Gabbinbar.
