Bush Setting for your Wedding

Updated: Feb 14, 2020

  1. If you want a secluded natural bush setting for your dream wedding, look no further than the Bush Chapel.

  2. I recently married a gorgeous couple where the Bush Chapel was the perfect backdrop for their love and friendship to be sealed in Marriage.

  3. This outdoor chapel is located just 16km from the Brisbane CBD at the base of Mt Coot-tha.

  4. There is parking at JC Slaughter Falls and then its only a short walk up a bitumen path to the chapel.

  5. The Bush Chapel is simply a stone pulpit (which makes for a great signing table), logs for pews, the sky is the roof, majestic tall trees, the walls surrounded by the sounds of nature. Despite being located in a busy park, it is surprisingly very private and secluded. The only uninvited guest was a bush turkey.

  6. This chapel is a designated Brisbane City Council site which you must book for your ceremony. See my blog of 16 February 2018 to assist your booking or call me I would love to help.

  7. As a little bit of trivia, the Bush Chapel was built by US servicemen stationed here during WW2.

  8. Below are some stunning wedding photos provided by the very talented Kayla from Kayla Temple Photography.

  9. Stayed tuned for next Friday's wedding ceremony hotspot!
